Students will complete Endangered animal paintings.
You will then move to the portrait project that you can EITHER draw or paint.
All the directions apply as the drawing students but you may also choose to draw a child from

Monday- Finish Watercolor leaf Composition
Tuesday- Water color Techniques and blending colors in your sketchbook
Wednesday- Begin Animal Watercolor Resist Painting
Thursday-Friday- Continue Resist painting
ALL CONTOUR LINE PROJECTS SHOULD BE POSTED BY TODAY ON BLOGS.

Monday- MLK Day No School
Tuesday & Wed- Finish up Water color leaves CLICK HERE
Thurs & Friday- Water color techniques and blending colors.
1/8-1/12
Monday- Snow Day
Tuesday- Create blogs and make suggestions for projects
Wednesday- Intro to watercolor
Thursday- Begin plant project
Friday- Continue plant project
What you need:
BOUND 8 1/2 x 11 sketchbook.
We will be using the sketchbooks A LOT this semester... if not everyday.
The better it is bound the better experience you will have.
Glue stick, shallow large tupperware with lid, a pencil everyday
Optional:
Personal Brushes, drawing pencils, colored sharpies, personal sharpener
Questions for blog entries.
You do not need to restate the question but you must answer in full...
1. What medium did you use and why?
2. What was the hardest part? Explain.
3. What was the easiest part? Explain.
4. Do you think you were successful? Explain.
5. What should your grade be? Explain.
If you answer these questions truthfully you will have an understanding of your grade.
Things the art room needs:
-pencils
-kleenex (rectangular boxes prefered)
-baby wipes
-egg cartons
-rinsed gallon jugs
-masking tape
-empty glass baby food jars
-large animal bones (any hunters around?)
-old toys
-hand sanitizer
-old shoes
-fabric
